Film
Title: A TALE / 2004 / Run. Time: 5 min 40 sec
STATEMENT
A
Tale is Olga Asts second video project and first digital animated film,
produced using Adobe After Effects, Maya and Final Cut Pro. Both minimalist
and abstract, it is an attempt to create a unique visual language as a means
of developing narrative. While ultimately telling a story about the nature of
creative struggle, she uses the repetition and variation of images to reinvent
and reinvigorate traditional storytelling techniques.
